Welcome to the Luna Community College Student Housing and Dining guide. Because our primary focus is providing affordable, high-quality academic and vocational education, Luna does not operate its own on-campus residence halls.

However, we believe that secure housing and steady meals are absolute essentials for your academic success. To make sure our students have the full college experience, we have built a unique, direct partnership with our neighbors at New Mexico Highlands University (NMHU), right here in Las Vegas, to open up full university housing and meal options to registered Luna students. Additionally, we run free campus dining programs to keep you energized throughout the week.

Student Housing Partnerships

Luna Community College is pleased to share that the Fall 2026 housing application is now available for LCC students who are interested in living in New Mexico Highlands University residence halls for the upcoming academic year.

Luna has executed a Memorandum of Agreement with NMHU for the 2026–2027 academic year. Under this agreement, NMHU has reserved 65 beds for LCC students that will be held until Saturday, August 1, 2026. Requests for housing made after August 1 will be dependent on availability.

As the first step, students must complete the NMHU housing application process.

To apply:

  1. Go to the NMHU Slate application platform: https://apply.nmhu.edu/apply/

  2. If this is your first time using the system, create an account. If you already have an account, log in using your existing credentials.

  3. Select the LCC housing application, complete all required information, and submit the application.

  4. You will receive notification once your application has been reviewed and approved.

After your NMHU housing application is approved, you will also need to complete the attached LCC Student Housing Contract.

The LCC contact for the housing contract process is:

Athletic Director / Head Women’s Softball Coach

Please contact Randall Krutsch for general questions about the LCC Student Housing Contract.

Please contact NMHU Residence Life at housing@nmhu.edu for questions about the NMHU housing application, residence halls, or room assignments. You may also visit the NMHU Residence Life and Housing Operations website:

For questions about billing or setting up payments, please contact the Finance Office:

LCC Finance Office
Phone: 505-454-2505
Email: lccfinance@luna.edu

Students should carefully review the attached LCC Student Housing Contract. Meal plans are required for students living in the residence halls, and housing and meal plan charges will be assessed to your LCC student account. Financial aid may be applied after the official census date, but students remain responsible for any balance not covered by financial aid.

We encourage interested students to complete the application as soon as possible.
