Mora Campus
Located inside the David Cargo Library building, we are an extension of Luna Community College’s main campus. You can apply for admissions, register for courses, and even make payments here. We also provide advisement and administer the COMPASS. Every semester, in the evenings, the GED program provides educational services to the community. We offer an array of courses either live or through ITV in our classroom. We also collaborate with the Mora Independent School District in which we utilize their classrooms as needed every semester. Our new computer lab allows us to provide educational opportunities to more students for their distance learning courses. We are ever expanding our capabilities and we pride ourselves in our community based approach to learning. Hours of operation differ for our students in order to best accommodate their needs. We also have our own “rec center” which is located at the high school for our physical fitness courses. In it we have treadmills, weights, and other equipment for the fitness needs of the community. Two physical fitness courses are always offered every semester to best target your busy schedule. The dual credit program is also available to eligible high school students. This program enables high school students to earn both high school and college credit for qualifying dual credit courses. They get to accrue college credits while in high school and all credits are transferable to other institutions of higher education. In our library section, we provide reading pleasures for every genre. Thanks to the generosity of so many donors, we have an eclectic collection of fiction, non-fiction, southwestern and biographies. We also have an extensive selection of magazines for your perusal. Nooks and crannies provide several quiet places to study, read or just to relax.
