Welcome to the Luna Community College Institutional Strategic Planning portal. Strategic planning is our institutional roadmap—a deliberate, collaborative, and ongoing process that guides our decision-making, resource allocation, and continuous improvement.

To effectively serve northeastern New Mexico, Luna utilizes a strategic framework focused on three core pillars: Restructuring, Revising, and Reimagining. Through data-driven assessment and transparent accountability, we ensure that every initiative, department budget, and community partnership directly contributes to student completion, regional workforce development, and institutional sustainability.

Our Foundational Identity

Every strategic initiative at Luna is anchored by our core mission, vision, and guiding principles. These elements represent our institutional commitment to excellence and equity across all campus communities:

  • Our Motto: Creating Opportunities For You

  • Our Mission: Luna Community College is dedicated to providing accessible, innovative, and integrated learning experiences that prepare students to compete at the forefront of their chosen fields and to lead in their communities.

  • Our Vision: Where future leaders aspire to create, collaborate, communicate, and think critically to bring positive change to the world.

Active Strategic Roadmaps

We invite our students, community members, state regulatory bodies, and regional stakeholders to explore our comprehensive institutional plans.

  5. Maximize and increase overall student enrollment.

  6. Cultivate and strengthen public and private community partnerships.
