In accordance with the New Mexico Procurement Code, Luna Community College posts notices of intent to award "Sole Source" contracts. A sole source procurement is utilized only when a good, service, or construction item is uniquely available from a single vendor, contractor, or manufacturer, making a competitive bidding process impossible or impractical.
Public Review & Transparency Period
To maintain the highest level of transparency, every sole source determination must be posted publicly for a mandatory 30-day review period prior to the formal contract award. This gives the public and alternative vendors the opportunity to review the justification.- For External Vendors: If your company can provide the exact products, services, or technical specifications detailed in an active posting below, you have the legal right to protest the determination.
- How to Protest: Formal protests must be submitted in writing to the LCC Procurement Director within the 30-day posting window. Protests must include clear data proving your business’s capability to fulfill the specific institutional requirements.
