Under general supervision, provides a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors at campus facilities.
Patrols campus facilities and grounds to safeguard persons and property against vandalism, potential hazards and theft; patrols parking lots to ensure all fire lanes, disabled parking, loading zones and all other no parking areas are clear; monitors and logs all individuals entering campus after 10:00 p.m., on weekends, holidays and non-scheduled class sessions.

Escorts students, visitors and employees to their destinations.

Conducts security checks of the interior and exterior of buildings at regular intervals making sure doors and windows are closed and locked, appliances are off and lights are on or off as appropriate.

Prepares reports on incidents and disturbances.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Regularly required to lift and /or carry up to 50 pounds.
Regularly works out of doors in all weather conditions.

Graduation from high school or GED; and six (6) months experience providing security for people and facilities; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

$8.00 per hour
